    Installing the device driver on Windows operating systems To install the device driver on the Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 operating system, do the following: 1. Go to http://www.lenovo.com/support/docks and select ThinkPad USB 3.0 Ultra Dock. 2. Locate and download the installation file for the device driver.

    • Connecting the ultra dock to any connector other than a USB 3.0 connector or using any USB cable other than a USB 3.0 cable might impact on the ultra dock performance, especially the video playback, and Ethernet performance.     • Click the Uninstall a program option under the Programs menu. • Click Programs and Features. 3. Select the Lenovo USB Display and then right-click your mouse. The Uninstall option is displayed. 4. Click Uninstall. 5. Follow the instructions on the screen to uninstall the device driver.

    The Gigabit Ethernet connection on the ultra dock fully supports the ThinkVantage Access Connections program. The Gigabit Ethernet connection on the ultra dock supports Preboot execution environment (PXE) boot on the selected Lenovo notebook computers.     1. The ThinkPad USB 3.0 Ultra Dock icon is not displayed on the screen. The ThinkPad USB 3.0 Ultra Dock icon is displayed only when an external monitor is connected to the ultra dock. If an external monitor is connected, ensure that the video cable is fully inserted into the ultra dock and the monitor.

    It is recommended that you connect your 2.4 GHz device receiver to the front USB 3.0 connector on the ultra dock and avoid connecting another USB 3.0 device next to the connector with the receiver attached. 5. When you connect your device (such as a mobile phone) to the dock for charging, the charging speed becomes slow.

    You cannot hear anything through your notebook computer speakers or you cannot use the audio connectors on the notebook computer. By default, ThinkPad and other Lenovo notebook computers use the headset and microphone combo connector on the ultra dock and disable built-in audio connectors when the ultra dock is connected.
